Princess Guide

This photo was posted by my cousin. She’s in a luxury hotel, with flowers, and the Oriental Pearl Tower behind her — it looks like a perfect “socialite” moment .

But I know her life isn’t really like that. For her, this image is a way to perform an identity — to look rich, elegant, and successful online. And I think a lot of young people do the same. It’s not just vanity, it’s also pressure.

We don’t just take pictures to show who we are, but to perform who we want to be.

I built the basic structure of a “Princess” as a visual identity.

I started by designing a simplified figure, then broke it down into seven key components, each representing a modular element commonly used in constructing fantasy identities in visual culture.
